This piece is about my friend Wayne that died almost a year ago. I'm sad, now that I think about it, and how people have lost their loves, I think about how hard it would be. You see, he wasn't ever really my boy friend, I went out with him for a few days, but it didn't feel right. We were to close, so I broke up with him, but him loving me never ceased. So I guess in a way, I did lose a boy friend, and now that I think about it, the pain is just back all over again. I remember when he use to say "You're going to grow up into a beautiful young girl, and I will always be here for you" I wonder if he's proud. I wonder if he really thinks I'm beautiful. He's still here for me, but I miss him.
Okay, this is what I want. I want you to imagine, or this could be real life to a few of you, that you lost your love. They died, and I want to feel your pain, how much it hurt. They can die any way, murder, suicide..cancer, whatever. Wayne died because he was sick with a disease, and I just want to have a contest about him, and others. It has to be about your love though, boyfriend, girlfriend..all that.

- Final notes: Oh my Goodness you guys, I had 40entries and this was a really hard contest to judge. I'm ending it early, because I already have a lot of entries, and I'm pretty set on the winners. I wanted this to either be about losing a bf/gf, someone you were inlove with, or Wayne. Not many people followed the rules, and I guess you should have read more carefully. There was a few people who IMed me, and asked...and Im thankful because they still had a chance in winning. If you didnt follow the guide lines then obviously you didnt win.

and sorry about your loss tooo, i suffered the same loss, except i am still in love with this guy, and his death haunts me everyday, and i know that i will always cry when i think of his, see his picture or hear his name.

The poem I entered is not a true incident, but I was inspired by the story of Wayne and you, I don't know how you feel about him, but I just tried to put the things you told us in this poem, plus I entered some of my own feelings. And I am not at all sure about the name! Please can you suggest any?
