Okay everyone
This is my 4th contest and I have lots of points to give away
Here is the contest
Open the White Pages in a phone book
Count down to the 10th name
Create a poem based on their name
For Instance:
Seth and Goldie Sheridan
4354 Paradise Road
Galveston, Texas 37510
(Just made that all up)
This was the only pic I could find and it was a Christmas Pic
Although it doesn't have to be Christmas
Give the couple in the Pic a Name as well as the Cat
Do they have a dog, if so give it a name too
A girl or boy give them names
What are their occupations?
He could be Dr,she could be a Novelist
Do they have horses and stables?
(Create a life for them in a poem)
Now for the rules: Yes just a few
I would like to see the Preferred Members to use a background and upload the pic onto the background page...
No Prewrites...
No Profanity, No Suicidal Poem, No Dark Poems..
I am not against those type poems but it doesn't make the criteria for what I want in my poem...
Just remember you a creating a life for the people in this picture
Free Verse & Rhyme are acceptable...

I have asked Maureen my AP sister on here to help me judge this contest...
I don't think I have saw a contest like this on here and I thought it would be fun and different to do
Only one poem per person
It would be nice if you read and commented on other peoples poems in this contest...
So go give the couple in this photo a name a street address & a life
What they like to do in their spare time and most of all have fun
Now for the points...

2nd Prize 100
Third Prize 50

This sounds like fun. Although I think it owuld be weird to see someone had found my name in the phone book and had written about me! But as long as it wasn't negative it would be fun. Now as for pics, what do you want us to use? something from a website like art.com? I don't think you meant personal pics found on people's personal websites did you? I don't think that would be right. Does it have to be an actual picture, or can it be artwork?
Just wanted to cover all bases before I start.

I wish that I could get past this darn stupid block and enter this contest. But with everything I'm going through right now, I'm sure that you will understand. This is the first comment I've made since then. Because you haven't ran away in the opposite direction after all of this came down on my head. Thanks for being there for me.
