I know I've made myself heard around these parts, by being either charming, or totally trashing somebody's poem (mostly those depressed, cutting poems)...so look, here's a chance for all you people to say what you think about me... this isn't original, my boy Punk rock Cory did one just like this, but I don't care....
Also, if you don't know me, but you want the 450 points then, you can read one of my pieces, or two or something (excluding my newest)...and you can write a poem about my style...do you like it? am i good?...you can also do a spin off of my writings, in which you totally trash me...
i AM looking for a few mean poems, and you will not get brownie points by writing some:

2. There may be cussing, but keep it down a little bit, I want all ages to be able to join this.
3. You must read one of my poems and critique it (excluding my most recent one)
4. Write a hate poem, or a love poem...I won't favor either.
5. Do your best, I don't want any half-butted poems in this contest, I want some good stuff.
6. Write in your Author's comments "Iverson Is The Answer"...and I WILL be checking this.

what happened to creative poetry contests about writing a good poem, not about indulging in stroking the contest-runner's ego?
this is an all-too-common and to be perfectly frank, kind of ridiculous contest. how does "write about me" or "write about what you think of me" or "impersonate MY ever-so-distinctive-and-original style" or "show me how great i am because you like or don't like me" about a creative, poetry-writing community? how is this about art or expression?

That's what he wants you to write about. But you seem to have figured that out.
This contest, it's creative because it gives you a play field (the person and their writings) and you work on how you really feel about them via poetry. It's entirely about expression. -

I guess I will have to read some of your stuff and your critiques to decide if I can hate you enough to do this. Problem is: I have always appreciated honest and thoughtful comments. I f I can't find it in my spleen to hate you, perhaps I will just pretend you are someone else I find hateworthy. Interesting idea for a contes, though. anyone who can stand up and asked to be hated is alright in my book - there, see, I am going to have a hard time with this, I can already tell.

lol you also asked to be written a love poem, It's a shame nobody entered one of those...guess this just speaks a whole lot about your outlook and what they think of you. Sorry you had to make this many enemies but i hope it works out for you in the end.

It's not disrespect...Many of us do like honest comments even if sometimes they attack the poet and not the poem itself. We're giving him what he wants and writing a love poem would seem like ass kissing, this is just for fun, to attack inu and laugh at the same time. Nothing personal.

well put demon, I believe everyone can change a view or a habit, we are simply entering a contest he put up and now we are letting him have a few lashings for his brutal honesty, if you wish to call it that. I think its better to help them with their creativity instead of smashing their confidense into a orange peel. Again we can all change habits or opinions, but what is said stays till it is apologized for, till then the ppl that havent stopped writing completely because of such laserations are here to stop his onslaught. I dont doubt that he has some kindness either, just an abberation of thought. Sorry about ranting again, I apologize.
