My second contest:
Let me say first off, I WILL read and critique all of the entries.
Okay, look, this is gonna be great... basically you have to represent where you live in your poem. For example, represent your hometown city, why do you love it? why should others love it? memories maybe?... anyway, if you love your city, town, county....you can even do one representing your country...
**....Now I would LOOOOVE for it to rhyme but it doesn't have to I guess ...but you are probably more likely to win if you rhyme, because I love to see that.
Rules:
1. No erotica, or depression (cutting suicide)... i don't even know how you could, but if you can...DON'T!
1 1/2. No haiku's, sorry, I am giving you the freedom for it to be as long as you choose, but don't give me a short haiku about your town, it WON'T win!
2. This won't be enforced, but you SHOULD!!!! and it could help out your chances of winning.... you should check out my poem "Philly"... it could help you to get an idea of what I'm looking for, maybe you should leave a comment too ...but anyway, here's the link: allpoetry.com/Poem/657615
3. Curse all you want DAMNET! i don't care, unless it's just stupid cursing...for example, "my fucking city, is fucking great".... ooooh heeell naaaw

6. The ever so common, HAVE FUN!
7. Oh yea, and put "Proxy is the best" in your thing, whatever it's called to show that you read this....and i WILL be checking to see if you do this

first off if u wan to curse spell it correctly its damnit anyways yeah i wont do this one because im from st louis and ummm yeah i dont need to represent my city we already popular enough from nelly jkwon faboulous and yeah so i dont care plus i dont really want to join this contest because st louis is st louis whoo whoo come to st louis thats all i would have to say so yeah anyways yeah, i guess whoever enters good luck and i guess this will be fun for those who really LOVE there state or country w/e yeah.

Cute idea, but I've moved around so many times, I wouldn't know where to write about. I guess I love my first house the most, cause I've got nothing but good memories there, but I don't remember it too well... I might have a go at this, maybe.

I have lived in many different places in the world because we are a military family. Home is where we hang our hat, or where the Air Force sends us. Right now, I am not very happy where I am living, way tooooooooo hot here in San Antonio, Texas for me. I miss the seasons of PA, or the north east coast. If I enter, I will write about PA..that is my home state. Is that okay to write about.....where you want to live? Thanks. Cheryl

Sounds like an awsome contest. I really dislike where I live. I used to live in Mass, but then we moved to the craplands of Florida, where it's too hot to ever go outside, so you end up living all your life (while you're in Florida) in the house...

this is an interesting contest. I enjoy reading what people write about their home towns or neighborhoods. some of the best writing I’ve read on this site are poems of this nature. I hope you get plenty of good ones because I look forward to reading them. if time permits, I may enter one myself.
