i am trying to get back into the swing of things. by doing so i will have this short contest which will be open approximately four hours. your only requirement to meet in the body of your work is the following:
the word 'DARK' must be used ten times and appear in caps.
like i said, itz a short contest (not expecting many entries, but do hope to get three so i can give out all of the trophies).
guess itz time for some rules.
1. no pre-writes (if i did this, it wouldn't be a personal invitation to a contest from theDARK1).
2. one entry per poet.
3. any style/any form (length is not a problem...do what you want to do and how you want to do it...as long as you comply with the other rules too).
4. you must meet the requirement as listed in the body of the contest.
5. closing date will be tonight at midnight (eastern time zone).
6. i will comment on every entry (but only after the contest closes for judging).
as itz always my custom to wish everyone luck here as i will not do it in the comments to your writes!

- Final notes: i would love to thank everyone who participated in my short DARK contest. itz always quite challenging to pick out the winners (especially when all of the entries are amazing). i actually narrowed it down to the following six (however, itz not to say if yours was not included in the list that you didn't have a shot for the entries were just that good):

like i said, all of the entries exceeded my expectations. if you did not win a trophy, i will applaud your work to represent achievement for doing such a great job in this contest.

I can't beleive I missed this. That is it the husband and the kid have to find someplace to go because they are taking up all my computer time and I am missing all the fun. Is there any room on the DARK side of the moon so I can send them up there. lol! I am only joking,I would not give the kid away for all the money in the world. Now the husband I might negotiate on that one!

joan, i thought the best way to get back in the swing of things was just to have a contest...plus i had to do it quick since i had been away and did not have one for may 2004. i still need to go back to my last contest and read/comment on the entries (since it was judged for me). i can't blame allpoetry for doing it in my absence, but i can't predict death and how i was to react to a couple of family members dying. i do thank you for all o your support, luvya, DARK.
