This is what I want you to write about this time... The theme is Proverbs 3:5-6 (Thanks for the idea Sg) which states: 'Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.' Whatever you get from this write about it. How it makes you feel, you can add this scripture in the poem. Whatever you'd like (as long as you follow my simple rules). All I ask is for you to have something to do with these verses in it. I'm sorry I don't allow pre-writes. It takes the creativity out of it.

Where did I say you sounded mean? If the Christian God is the God of all, then other God's in other religions would pray and worship in all essence of the term - the same God as the Christian.
The Christian, Muslim and Jewish God are all the same God's just the 'religion' is different.
The quote you present is speaking of 'God'. So, again, why not include others? Why are you just having this for Christians and not others?
It sounds to me favortism - and I don't think your 'God' is about that - or is 'He'?

As for the other religions... if there isn't a contest for them I'm very sorry... but this particular one is for JESUS CHRIST. Is there a particular reason your getting on my case or because you can? Please follow my rules... if you don't want to... then don't enter... if you think I am favoring one over the other it's because I favore my God. And I want to see how others Praise Jesus Christ. So please tell me if there is a reason why you feel like you need to keep writting about this issue.

I didn't say you said I was mean, I just said where do I say that you were being mean.
I am not even really talking about religion, and evidently neither are you. I own the New and Old Testament (as separate books) but I am not a Christian. So, by your rules alone I can't enter. There are many non-Christians out there that own a Bible, and by your rules they can't enter. Now, why do we own these Bibles if we are not Christian? Maybe because we feel collectively that it's a good book. That, some of what it says is a 'good thing'. But, when people disclude people that makes a 'good thing' into a 'bad thing'. You are discluding people.
Plus, the Bible is Universal, it isn't really a Christian Bible. It doesn't say it's a Christian Bible, why you even read the Old Testament is beyond me, I mean, Christ's teachings are only in the New Testament, not the old.
I like your motto 'God sees the bigger picture, trust Him' apparently you don't see the 'big picture' so why should anyone really enter this Contest - especially since it discludes people?

I hate going to contests and reading the comments and seeing that people are arguing over it. You need to grow up and just go to another contest if you aren't satisfied with this one. There have been contests about Wicca/witchcraft stuff and I am I Christian, and I don't leave rude comments on their contests. So people...grow up. Don't get so steamed about little things like this. But anyway, I like the idea for this contest. I'll probably be entering.

Exactly, Hereonearth! There are contests inviting vampires, witches, warlocks and more, that doesn't mesh with Christianity, which is followers of Christ. Nam, I never, ever read you getting onto them about their contests, but when it comes to this belief, you are always in the mood to argue until you can't hold your breath anylonger. I've always thought you were, at the very least, equal in you summations concerning beliefs, but I'm beginning to wonder. Let everybody create the contest rules as they see fit. They are, in fact, the very ones providing the contest! And, that's whether they are Christians, witches, warlocks, you name it. Start your own contest! Trust me, I won't jump your butt about it. If I don't approve of it or dislike it for some reason, you won't see my entry. Because there will be none! As well, I won't verbally chastise you for your beliefs. Also, yes, the new Testament is what we should go by, as Christians, and it's all inclusive, which means the choice to believe or not believe is up to each and every person. No force. So, why do you try to force your (I don't know what you'd call it) on everyone else. That's not right either, Nam. Just live and let live. Hope I didn't make you totally pissed off by speaking this truth. But, it had to be said. Respectfully, Kel.

looks like you're not the only one being bothered in your contests. that Nam guy im'd me too and was complaining about the same thing. the he kept on and on and on...i think he just gets really bored and decided to go annoy people. anywho...this is a great idea for a contest. i would enter if i could think of anything, but i'm having a slight case of writer's block. anywho...great idea! OK i just wanted to state something before the judging. yhea i entered this contest and im not chrisian. that's my brothers middle name but im mormon. i was told that mormonisym is a form of christianity so i guess that SORTOF makes me christian no? but im PROUD to be a mormon and the fact that we own UTAH! either way you put it i try to live life by this scripture. isn't that what maters? i love the lord with all my heart and all my mind. I hope i do good in this contest. please don't elimanate me becuase im not a pure christian seeing as in a way i am. -
