Haunted Asylum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okie dokies peeps ,this is fairly simple.We want a horror story, no wait - A GOOD horror story about...
ya ready for it???


A HAUNTED ASYLUM


the rules are pretty simple but if your gonna enter please abide by them... ok here they are...

poems are allowed but we prefere stories for this contest..
this contest will be judged by how scary the story is not by the amount of gore (so no giant masacars and then thats it story over)
profanity is allowed but dont go overboard (this is a contest not a race to see how many swear words you can put into one piece)
it must have a good story line to it
must be about ghosts
and the story must be set in an asylum whether it be abandoned or still functioning..
prewrites are allowed

well thats about it we thinks
hope you enjoy the contest and scare us while your at it but most importantly we hope you have fun

    Awesome contest -I live near a beautiful old asylum in CT -I like to go there just to walk around. I seem to do my best thinking there (for some reason?!)
    I don't know if I'll find time to write an entry, but if not I will definately be checking out the other ones because I like the subject. Great idea!

    I'm trying to write an entry but i dont think its gunna be scary enough, i've never tried this genre before and it's really difficult! I like doing stories though and thats what you said you'd prefer, i'm hoping i have a chance at this because every1 else so far has done poems! I guess this hasn't been open long though. Well thanx this contest is really enjoyable.

    Great Idea!!!!

    I could not believe the title of your contest! Pure genious this is a wicked good idea. You have inspired me by your creativity. I think I am going to have a contest related to this when I get enough points. I have a web-site about an insane asylum. It's called Inside Grafton State Hospital I entered this contest with a good lengthy story about a story relating to the asylum. So if you really want to see some cool pictures and read my interviews that I have with some of the staff that used to run the hospital. I have great history information too. Graveyard, Morgue, Shock therapy room, autopsy room. underground tunnels are some of the pictures I got plus go check it out it's pretty neat. The web address is

    Its a pity I only just saw this, we have ghosts in the nursing home that I work at. Many residents have actually seen a little girl, or a man at night. Even staff have seen this guy... We had a spiritulist in and before the home was built it used to be an assylum and well she says there is a young man in his 30's there and he keeps laughing at us because we're scared of him, but she said he didn't want to hurt us.

    Night shift were walking down the corridoor the other night then all of a sudden the lights went out on one side and then christmas music came across the tanoid. The office door was closed so no one could get in there, and it hasn't worked properly for a long time... Glad I wasn't on that night
