Okay...my last contest forced me to be extremely objective...and that was an interesting experience...but this time those poems will win that I think are good. And this time I want the world to revolve around me ) Well, not quite that extreme...but close to it. Though you've got a couple of choices, all of them revolve around me.
1) You can go to my page and pick a poem, and then write your own inspired by mine...Or just rewrite my poem to make it better or just "you." I'd like it to be in the same category as mine...Don't turn my semi-depression poems into a suicidal drama please.
2) If you know me or have read my poetry, you can write something about me. That would be lovely.
3) If you don't know me and don't want to, feel free to IM me for a topic. I have quite a few in mind, so this is a good option for the bigger part of AP that doesn't know me.
Rules
1) No self-mutilation, I'm soo tired of those poems...you have no idea...I'm sorry if you guys feel like dying, and I would love to comment on your suicidal poems if I run across them...Just don't submit them into my contest...
2) If you decide to write a love poem based on one of my love poems be careful not to be cliche...cliche love poems are about the worst thing after the suicidal ones...
3) Put 'Anastasia rocks' in your author comments. If you don't, I will bite you... But I don't think that really matters...
4) Be nice
5) However many entries you want, and obviously no prewrites. Unless you've written a poem about me before...in which case...umm...yay?!
Depending on how many people enter I'll try to have some honorable mentions...Whee! This will be fun...and an ego-booster...unless nobody enters...

Maybe the background is frightening some away...I could have a seizure before I'm done reading the rules. Just a thought.
Peace

*laughs* i love vanity contests. they're hilarious. it's basically paying people to love you... not that there's anything wrong with that, i think we would all try that if we weren't trying to cling to a shred of dignity.
sorry, i couldn't bring myself to enter this, maybe if i had known you previously it would interest me... but this ocntest did brighten my morning.

glaze covered eyes view the world in a sugary haze, a Krispy cremer dreamer who sees the hole picture and devours what's around it. A cup of java makes a delightful dip, the hot tub for the glaze covered when the day is wearying, and the shelves of glaze covereds thoughts contain many cinnamon, jellyfilled and other tasteful treats that others can savor
one at a time all poeticaly arranged in a colorful array that
wets the lips of those hungry for a couple of rounds of good stuff.lol....Artis

have read the rules, can I write a poem about how ego destroys civility and humanity?
-
Look, man, my previous contest was insane so I just wanted to make this one just for me and nobody else. If you don't like it, close your eyes and walk away, no need to give me hard time, k?
And to answer your question, yes you can write about how ego destroys humanity, as long as you write something abou tme. It can be mean and bitchy, I don't care.

Oh...No prewrites lol. I already wrote you a poem...Just the other day.

Thanks Ana!

I have just logged in and find one poem has been disqualified and gold in another. You have restored my day and I thank you on two levels. Firstly the poem that this entry was taken from is great so the task was half way there and I thank you and secondly because there is so many good poems on your site with a diversity of subjects it was generous of you to allow other to tinkle with them. I really appreciate this and picked me up more than you could imagine
Thanks
David
