Ok...here it goes. This is my first contest, so bear with me (hopefully I'll get a lot of writes). Alright, the idea is fairly simple. I want to hear about a recent dream you've had--I don't care what it is. Hell, I don't *really* even care if it's recent (not like I'll know anyway ), I just want one of the most random dreams you've had. It can also be serious, dark, etc...I just say random because usually my dreams make no sense at all--they're just strange, and sometimes freak me out..lol.
Umm..I have no preference as to what type of category the poem is in, nor do I care about style, length, etc. Though if you really want to try and impress me, I've been reading/working on a lot of villanelles and terzanelles lately, so you can try your hand at one of those styles if you'd like . Yea...I can't really think of anything else..so good luck! The contest will be most likely be closed a week from Friday, and judged shortly thereafter. You can enter as many poems as you like. Hopefully people will actually enter this...lol.

Well..I think I've *finally* finished reading and commenting on all the entries, though I'm going to double-check--I wouldn't want to miss any..lol. This is a good contest idea. But I have what I refer to as Stephen King Nightmares, so I don't think I'll be entering because I wouldn't even know where to begin. lol Great contest hope you have much fun judging.

I read your Bio before I entered my poem "Such a Sweet Dream";
some people do read those. I know I have read many of the same books that you have; "Flowers for Algernon" I know I read but can not remember it. Books that I really liked were 'Earth Abides", don't remember who wrote it, and "Lord of Light" not positive who wrote it.
Since you like Poe you may think of having a contest where we have to write like E.A. Poe.

Excellent idea for a contest! There are some really great dreams posted here - I love to see what others subconscious minds think up... gives you a glimpse into their mind... kinda like walking past a lit window at night... you can see through the veil of the curtain and for a brief moment, glimpse into someone else's life...
