This is a Lord of the Rings contest. Yay!
You can write about anything Lord of the Ringy, such as FOTR, TTT, ROTK, people (men, hobbits, dwarves, elves, oliphaunts, gollum, kings, women, dorcs... er, orcs, urik-hai, sauron, wizards, wargs, the coincil of elrond, wormtongue, etc), places, what you did or didn't like about the books/movies, whatever just as long as it's about Lord of the Rings.
RULES:
No swearing, angst, suicide, drugs, bad stuff... (Obviously, drugs & modern swearing didn't exist in Tolkien's Middle Earth) and please don't write anything about gay characters. If I see any sort of slash in an entry, it will be automatically disqualified.
You can write a poem or story, whichever suits you.

NOTE TO ALL: *I've been off the comp for a while because of Christmas, so It'll take me a while to read these all and catch up. I may not be finished reading them all in time for judging, but we'll have to see when the time comes. * And besides, I got the ROTK CD-ROM for Christmas, and it doesn't work
so I spend some of my day bugging my dad to get it fixed and all that

Well the name of the contest is "Stupid, Fat Hobbit" which is what Gollum/Smeagol calls Sam, and then the description is "Fool of a Took" which is what Gandalf says to Peregrin Took (Took is his last name whereas Sam's is Gamgee)... Maybe they had no relation but it seemed like you were still talking about Sam.

just saw ROTK christmas day. the best of them yet. i came out of that theatre emotionally drained. i loved the whole essence of the story. this is a great contest. i would enter but my poems are no match for these. i cant wait to read some of them though. great contest idea. well i changed my mind and i am entering. i got a sudden hit of inspiration.

sorry to budge in uninvited but i was just reading these and just to clearify (in case no one had) sam is in no way rlated to frodo, merry or pippin. Merry, Pippin and frodo are all seperate cousins and Gandalf has a big nose
