everyone knows that my contest requires work on the contestants' behalf (with the exception of my birthday contest...i did make it sort of simple). i want to thank you just for reading the rules to this contest for all who reads will not enter (i'm sure of that). this contest will require some time (for the reading assignment alone) but may take only minutes to create and submit your work.
this may appear to be egotistical to some and you are entitled to that opinion. when you read the required poems so you can write your poem or story, you will not have to comment on any of the poems (so how will i know you read them, i won't). there has been a change in me (and my writing) as some of you have detected. this is what this contest is about!

FYI: there are stories (of erotica) written titled "DARK lust @ moon crater hotel" (these are optional to read since not everyone would be able to view them 'cuz of their content).
rules for my contest:

i wish everyone good luck in the contest as i will not duplicate the sentiment in my comments that i will post to each entry in this contest. i have asked the ShadowedOne to help judge this contest. please give me your best work since there is plenty of time to enter this contest. it does not close until November 29, 2003.
i am curious to see what the poets here at AP think about the influence created by the ShadowedOne over the work being put out by theDARK1 (when he never wrote about love, but has strongly come close by her presence).

i want to thank everyone for participating. my 'little shaDow' apologizes for not having the time to comment on your poems, but she has been rather busy. however, she did IM me about her picks and i went by them. i know this was not an easy contset, so if i have an easy one (like the x-mas and new year's eve contest, you might want to enter 'cuz they will be more challenging in the future unless i'm in a different mood when i created those). i congratulate the winners. hope to see you in my future contests no matter if you earned a trophy in this one or not. remember, poetry is like art...itz never viewed the same in the sets of eyes that view it together. there may have been poems better than the one's that received the trophies, but art does become personal to the heart. i enjoyed all of the entries (even though a couple were disqualified for not following the rules). good luck in future contests.

Well looks like I need to get busy reading so I can finally enter this contest and set presidnece for all to see what's in store for the ShadowedOne and theDARK1. SOrry I haven't entered yet needed time to do the research. I am sure I will have fun!

if i do not comment on your entry right away, do not fear for i am fighting evil that lurks in the night...you mortals are lucky that you get to see day and night (well, most of you anyway). itz up to you and how you write your entry how long my comment will be. i think that i may have over done my comment in length for meesa p's entry and i apologize for that (if you feel itz too long). i will try to not make them as long, but if i get caught up in the moment...you will have to deal with a long comment!

"Bloody hallways(contest write)" this poem was disqualified from the contest for it did not meet the requirements. it was a prewrite, but that was not the reason why it was disqualified. prewrites will be only accepted if they can meet the requirements of the contest (which was the reason why i said itz unlikely that a prewrite can be used). like i said, you do not have to comment on the poems in the reading assignment, and i will not know if you read only a few or all of them. however, i will be able to tell by your work that you submit and your poem or story does not even mention theDARK1 or ShadowedOne in it at all (a real dead giveaway, hehehe). i do appreciate all entries and i do not grade on a curve as i do not award on one either. i appreciate quality over quantity, but then thats why i am theDARK1 and in charge of protecting the night. good luck to all in the contest as i will not say it on a entry that remains eligible to stay in the contest.

This is a really neat contest. I wish I would have seen it earlier for I would love to enter. I think I will go read these poems anyway, if I haven't already, and maybe I can get an entry in before it closes. Good luck everyone.

Whoa this is a kool contest dark! I'm just mad that it's been running for the time that I haven't had any spare time. I'm not around all weekend either, so I doubt I could get anything done in just 1 day. Amazing idea though, I'll be sure to come back and at least check out all the entries.

i just came to this contest and was shocked to see your entry. i took it from the comment that i saw as soon as i logged in, that you wouldn't be able to. then i saw comment after comment on poem after poem from you. i came here so i could tell you that i have two other contests going besides this one. however, now i will venture in to see what story you will tell!
