Hello everyone, To enter this contest all you need to do is to read the information I give you in the next paragraph and create something from it, there are no rules at all, just enter.

ok here's the story, I was very much in love with some-one and it ended, it has taken me a long time but now I have met a new man he is wonderful and I love him very much, the problem is that I wrote a lot of deep romantic poetry for my former love and when we broke up I wrote even more poetry about how heartbroken I was, this poetry is all there on my poetry site and my new guy has seen it, he feels because of this that there is no way I can love him as much or more than I did my former guy, so the challenge is, pretend you are me and write a poem that will make him believe that I do!!.

I know people will enter this contest, but, only you in the end can tell him what he needs to know, and if he can't accept that from you, then that is on him and not you.
Sometimes our former love's we love more than our present ones, but, that does not mean that we would love them any less.
If your boyfriend can not realize this, then I think maybe he has doubts that he should work out for himself.

Girl. You need to tell your man that he needs to get over it. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of two years and the father of my baby, and my new man knows that when i write it does not mean that i can't love him. A poet writes down there feelings so that it doesn't get all bottled up inside, he needs to understand that what you have written is what your heart was feeling at the time, and now that you met him, you have a whole new line of inspiration. Make him know that poetry is a reflection of ones soul, fears hopes dreams, etc. etc. It'll get better. I think I might try this one. Good luck all.

Thankyou April...he is fairly new to the world of poetry.....and I suppose....he is far more exposed through my poetry to the feelings i had for the other guy.....i mean normally we wouldn't meet a new person and go into detail about hearts, souls, starlight and flowers would we lol.....thankyou

I believe you very much deserve him and I would much love to see the misunderstanding won't create a crack between the two of you. Yes something only the one involve knows the best way of how to deal with it. Outsiders are best to step aside. Yet I can't help but feel for you. Good luck in love.

first loves are always the hardest to forget about. ive been with my new guy for almost 11 months and like urs he reads what i have written about my ex. it makes him feel bad and gives him doubts but i tell him that whatever i had with that guy is over and done with and that my feelings for him out weigh what i had for my ex and truly they do. if ur guy loves u enough he will help un-do what ur ex has done to u. he'll put the pieces of ur heart together again. thats what mine did at least. good luck to u and ur guy.

ople think that he is an insecure person because of this...thats not true.....I think if I had access to poetry he had written about a former love ..that was as deep and intense as the stuff I wrote..It would probably make me feel a little worried too about this time around...I think it would make anyone feel a little insecure.... leanne xx
