Before you start off to write your great piece of work, we want to take this moment to aquaint you with our School. We start with pre-school, all the way up to high school and some college courses.

We are always looking for that special someone with special talents and/or the urge to teach to join us. Teachers are hard to find, that is good ones are. You don't need college courses to teach here but would be a plus. We want those who missed out on the calling of teaching to have their chance now. Maybe you have special experience in one subject like geneology, or as w3 just had carpal tunnel syndrome.

We welcome students who want to learn regargless of age. There are a lot of high school drop outs. If you just want a refresher course, please join. We will work with you in anyway needed. Some teachers assign homework daily, some weekly. If something happens in real life we will understand and allow you more time to finish. We are here to help you.

Our belief here is that a person can never learn enough. We are sponges when it comes to learning. Our children that are in most publidc schools are not getting the education they need. ***Plus if a child must be alone while you work, ect., why not keep them busy and off the streets!

We offer a one on one teaching if needed. We meet in a group chat room where only teachers and students can attend.. We discourage students from using copy paste to complete homework. We prefer to see what they think a definition means and ect..

The main issue here the group was brought together out of a need. Now the dream is to fill it with students, (adults welcome) and teachers to open these childrens eyes and creating within each a need to learn. Please note, a degree is not needed to teach, only the will to do so, to complete a dream you once had.

You needn't fill out an application, just apply to be admitted and become a part of thiswonderful and exciting group. We feel your work will reveal what your about.

We welcome all, (even the adults) who want to be brought up on what there is to learn. We just had a class on Carpal Tunnel, a great teacher who does have degrees taught it.

Also , how many has seen the show "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" If you have you will notice seldom do the players get far, even teachers and geniuses fail. I believe there has been about three winners. That means everyday our students are pushed to learn more than we once did.

If there's a subject you feel has a need here at School Time, contact the owner of the group, wander of the sky. If you'd like to teach it, great, maybe you just want to learn.

Join up and give us a try. I am a teacher myself of creative writing, elementary level. We give rewards for those who bring others in to join.

Our main objective is to get the students off the streets, continue to teach them so that instead of watching tv, we will help their young minds to grow.

We are allowing all to enter our contest, still we would very much like to see our group grow during this time!

Final rule the poems we want are to be on education! Whether it is good, bad, are students getting a proper one and ect....!

So your prompt is "E D U C A T I O N" and anything concerning it. Let's see what we get in return. Are you smarter than a "School Time" child?

For bonus points you must contact "wander in the sky" who will give you a question to answer at that moment. If you win bonus points will be added to your total.

Points may change: Those who has donated points are the following:

I take it that you are using the term "public school" in the US sense - what in the UK we call a "state school".

"Public schools" in the UK are ancient establishments )in the case of those for boys - though some were founded for girls in the 19th century) which charge VERY high fees - and hence are not accessible to the children of the general public - unless those children are so ultra-brilliant that they are offered a scholarship.

One of the Sitwell brother-poets (Osbert, I think) wrote in "Who's Who" concerning the public school and university that he attended - "Self-educated in the vacations from Eton and Oxford".

Which is very much my view... Education is something one gets for oneself - or not - OUR of class! For in class one is simply taught facts.

...is your name wander of the sky instead of wander in the sky.. I tried to type a message to that name and nothing came up; that's a bad typo to put in the contest details..
