PROMPTS

1.

And the days are not full enough
And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
      Not shaking the grass

Ezra Pound

2.

In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.

When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.

We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

Keeping Things Whole by Mark Strand

P.S. If these prompts are good then I chose them; if they are bad then Matt chose them

I like these prompts, neither is an earth shaking revelation, but they give the writer an opportunity to make one... well done...PK

I just dropped by and read the winning poems including Heather's work. The poem by Strand is actually one of my all time personal favorite poems.
