This contest will be judged by myself and Piggyback. Please reserve a number (between one and thirty) and you will receive one of each of the following prompts: picture, word, and a quote from either lyrics or poetry. These prompts will not be related -and they will be released most likely by monday night. YOU ONLY HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE OF THE PROMPTS TO USE but you may incorporate all of them into one if you wish. After you write, both judges will score the poem out of 10, those with a 7 or higher will make prelim. finalists and the highest scored poems will win.

1) free verse/prose
2) vivid imagery and innovative styles. Abstract poems impress me a lot as well, but I love gut-wrenchingly honest pieces to death (see people like Richard Brautigan)
3) emotional. No cliché crap. I want to FEEL it.
