There is a quote by Charles Augustin Sainte-Beuve that says:
“Tell me who admires you and loves you, and I will tell you who you are.”
So i want to know, What Defines You?What makes you who you are?
Is it a quality you own, like independence or courage?
Is it the hardships you have been through? Like a broken family or bullying?
Is it the talents you have, like writing [haha] or being a genius?
Is it a person, a family member or a friend or a lover or even your pet haha
Is it the times that make you happy? Times when you shine like up on stage or singing your heart out, playing a game of footy or desiging a new building?
Anything or one can define you, make you happy or sad, insecure or confident. Perhaps you define yourself and dont let anything or one else have a say in that.
Maybe its your family history, genes or surroundings, nature or nurture?
So any type of poetry welcome, any length however:
Keep swearing to a minimum, youre too intelligent to keep using the same words over and over.
Perhaps something erotic really does define you, so if it really does then i guess itll be an interesting poem! But i want it to be poetic, erotic poetry is not vulgar!
