The Ultimate La-La Challenge: Round 10 - Top 7

This contest is for the following poets ONLY:

Summer Daze

Nickelspring

CitrineSunrise

sideways hourglass

Naridill

crivanea

AliceinPoetryLand

Guest Entry: Griswold

For this round you are each required to complete the exact same task:

you are to write a trilogy of 3 poems on the same page, with a continuation of theme throughout.  you are to write 1 Rondelet, 1 Rondel and 1 Rondeau.

Example piece:

To simply be.

I.

Such longing speaks

in hidden corners of my mind;

such longing speaks

in each syllable that I seek ~

in words of poems that I can find

to clutch my soul...forever bind,

such longing speaks.

II.

Oh how my heart sings to rejoice, to dance

on delicate wings that flutter to fly,

in every breath and every sigh,

to dream of true love and such sweet romance.

And fate beckons hope to just take a chance,

as promise of love shines 'neath sapphire sky;

oh how my heart sings to rejoice, to dance

on delicate wings that flutter to fly.

Essence is captured in each fleeting glance

as spirit soars free in each hungered cry

and faith echoes on kissed winds to espy

miracles of trust, touched feelings entranced.

Oh how my heart sings, to rejoice...to dance.

III.

To simply be, in silence found

in secret's wish, to us surround;

where words are stilled in quiet eyes

to hide behind this old disguise,

as feelings glow without a sound.

Such urges surge to here dumbfound,

as future looms to swoon...resound

and promise lingers, here defies

to simply be...

Mutual thoughts so tightly bound,

amazing selves to here astound;

passion cherishes precious prize

in wordless whispers and speechless sighs,

in love soon sought, etched so profound.

To simply be...

    Oh; this is why I won Gold - so the kick outta the contest wouldn't blow me away with these forms

    Can I ask for a prompt?
    I have not much inspiration.
    Or I guess I could look on deviantart for picture or something..

    I am still getting over the heart attack from Gold and now I think I just fainted at this one. Good job! Keeping me on my toes, or off them

      when there's no given prompt, one would do best to take it from within.

    Hi tootsie. This sounds like another interesting challenge. Of course I have a question. Can we write these three poems in any order we choose huh huh huh????

      does it stipulate anywhere that you can't?

      i love how you always ask, i love how you always wish to push the forms to their limits and manipulate them as your own - it's how i write form too, by taking great liberties with them.

      so go on Mrs Creative...butcher them
