Helloo thar oh magical people.
You are probably wondering what the logic was to this contest.
"Oliver why did you hit the keyboard over and over again with no relevance to anything?"
"What's the code!!? TELL ME OR I WILL EAT YOUR EFFING SPLEEN!!!"
"ANGST MONKEY ANGST MONKEY ANGST MONKEY!!"
All perfectly logical questions, but here's my theory:
There is a lot of confusion in the human brain, a lot of people will enter the unknown purely based on curiosity, while others are so bewildered by it they'd rather take a prompt of sheep drinking the eyes of a succulent doughnut instead.
I wanted to try and make a contest where people could make something out of nothing with no logic. The thing is when you literally tell a person "They can write anything" you don't get anything, you get them writing in their comfort zone most likely something so repetitive that they could write it in their sleep.
Especially with quickies where people have a knack for creating twenty-million gallstones a second.
So I wrote a lot of random assorted letters (consonant clusters in particular confuse people with sounds that are generally inaudible) with my prediction that people may just enter anything without thinking about it; assuming it was a glitch and potentially some easy points.
What I didn't expect was for people to actually try and take it as a prompt. This completely threw me so to knock people off guard I wrote random words in the clusters, I had an active comittee of curious AP members attempting to crack a code that didn't exist just proving that most people just assume that everything has to have some sense. When logically this contest and it's prompts were purely illogical and pointless.
So how did I decide who won?
It was incredibly tough, but I based it on what I was originally looking for and that was poetry that was void of prompt from myself. Have I contradicted myself? Yes, if you have a real beef with my decision however please send me a message explaining why I should send you 400 points (be warned I only have 950 points in my AP piggy bank) and I will be as kind as possible and send you the magical points.
Will I ever do a contest like this again? Probably not, you will be expecting it. And whenever I just blatantly ask people to go out of their comfort zone for a contest I get zero entries.
The irony is this was one of my most active contests, and seeing as it was a quickie this is a rather confuzzling statement.
For the people in my comment box just ignoring the contest and trying to crack the code; you are also winners and you deserve a round of applause.

If you did both you win twice. So I suppose curiosity did kill the cat but at least you were allowed to jump off the edge with dignity.
I'm rambling and I'm distracted so I'm going to leave it at that.
