okay so i have never done a rounds contest but they look like fun and i hope will give me some amazing work to read. below is your prompt and as in every rounds contest the finalists will move on to the next round and so forth. i am hoping to get alot of entries and i will comment on every piece, my time allowing. normal rules apply. i want more of a dark outloook on this..
Prompt:
a sharp tongue,
slides past a prison of white soldiers,
while a wit sharpend mind
beats against its hardened casing
ill fitting remarks
beg to be released
and a deadly posion rips from the cowering throat
a sickening revolution falls into place
as weapon claims its human
a time for change,
so long overdue, yet it comes to quick
nothing stands in the shadow of bravery
or the light of cowering fear,
at the mere thought
of a revolution falling into place,
tears burn at the corners of sickening grins
and nails tear at the most ashen of skin
this time for a revolution has come
a day darker than nights, and more feared
than life
take it where you will just make it brillant.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 12
- Rewards: Gold: 400
- Final notes: This was interesting contest for me to judge, since i was asked to. The person who owns this account requested i judge it since she will not be on AP as much. I thought the prompt was interesting, and the perception on it was even more..and our taste in poetry is very similar, so it works. Thanks to everyone who entered!
Congradulations to the finalist.:]

A comment on my poem would have been nice. That being said, thank you for holding the contest.
