Countries Apart

I just moved from Brazil to the US again, leaving all of my family behind. I already miss them, and am hearing that they are having a hard time of it down there, so now I'm worried about them, too. I just wish that I could be in both places at once. I really need poems to cheer me up, and help reassure me that they are going to be okay, even if I'm not there to clean up the mess like I would if I were there.
Be kind to my feelings on the subject, and stay on it. Just write beautiful, heartfelt poems that I will gladly give my points to. Impress me.

God Bless, and good luck.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 20
  • Rewards: Gold: 1500, Silver: 1000, Bronze: 500, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
Well, this contest didn't really give the results that I was expecting, but they surprised me with amazingly powerful writes that I really enjoyed reading. It was a great contest. The gold winner especially blew me over, but all of them were out of this world and I'm grateful for each and every person that entered.
    God Bless

Thank you for hosting a fine contest and for the silver, larkbird. Congratulations to Jim, Hensley, Amazon Huntress, sora. and longhorns-fan. Don't be too disappointed in the number of entries, though - quantity doesn't ensure quality - and many people don't seem to be too interested or very inspired lately - partly because of all the too-numerous contest requirements some judges add on, so interest lags somewhat. And this is a busy time of year for a lot of people, as well. Nevertheless, this was a contest with good results overall. Be well, Poets and Scribes.

    Thanks for the Gold ...

and congratulations to the host for a fine contest as well as to each of the other trophy winners. As Wanda says, just below, don't be too disappointed at the lack of enthusiasm right now. It's a busy time of year for those of us in the U.S. and no doubt for many everywhere.

I do hope you have a happy holiday season. Keep the faith.
