Trans- Siberian Orchestra

So for those of you who don't know TSO is one of the greatest bands alive. If you've never heard of them go to their website www.Trans-siberian.com, it has tour dates and everything they want you to know and you can even buy t-shirts and things. Go to their website or a concert if their having one near you, to find out more about them.

Anyways, the point to this contest is because their newest CD Night Castle recently came out on Oct. 27th. I of course bought it and decided to host this contest in their honor. There are a couple of songs on this CD which are kind of dark, if you chose to write about one of these pieces then your poem should be dark. If your lucky I'll include a few songs from The Lost Christmas Eve CD and one other song off of their debut CD Christmas Eve and Other Stories.

Night Castle CD one:
1. Night Enchanted
2. Childhood Dreams
3. Sparks
4. The Mountain
5. Night Castle-Dark
6. The Safest Way Into Tomorrow
7. Mozart And Memories
8. Another Way You Can Die- Dark
9. Toccata- Carpimus Noctem- Dark
10. The Lion's Roar
11. Dreams We Concieve
12. Mother And Son
13. There Was A Life
14. Moonlight And Madness
15. Time Floats On
16. Epiphany
17. Bach Lullaby
18. Father, Son and Holy Ghost
19. Remnants Of A Lullaby
20. The Safest Way Into Tomorrow(Reprise)
21. Embers

Night Castle CD two:
22. Child Of The Night
23. Beleive
24. Nutrocker
25. Carmina Burana
26. Tracers

Christmas Eve and Other Stories CD:
1. Christmas Eve Sarajevo 12/24

The Lost Christmas Eve CD:
1. Faith Noel
4. Wizards In Winter
6. Anno Domine
12. Siberian Sleigh Ride
13. What Is Christmas
16. Wish Lizt(Toy Shop Madness)
21. Christmas Cannon Rock

Ok, so some of these are instrumentals just for your information. Now for the Dreaded rules. I know, but we have to have them.

Rules:
1. You can write where ever the song takes you. There are a few which are dark, if you chose one of those songs please make sure your poem is dark.
2. No molesting the shift key.
3. If the song has the word dark next to it, make sure your poem is dark.
4. Listen to and read the lyrics.
5. TSO's CDs and songs tell stories, I want your poem to tell a story if possible.
6. If you have reserve's please finish them before the contest closes on Christmas Day or after I get forty entries.
7. Spell out your name in the Author's Note with spaces, like this: I C E Q U E E N
8. Make sure to credit the artist's in your Author's Notes and to put the song title.
9. If these rules are not followed I will DQ your poem.
10. NO matter how many times I'm asked I will not open up to allow pre-writes.
11. If you have a TSO background you may add it to your poem, if not just find a background that fits your poem.
12. No poems about cutting!

I think that's it, if I think of anymore I will be sure to add them. Have fun writing!
Ohh yes, I didn't have time to look up links to anything so if you can do that then great, if not just message me and I'll get the link to you.
