Here is how these contests work...
Write your best...when all entries are finished, you will decide who wins...you send me a list from Gold on Down...the way you would judge them...I give 8 points for Gold...7 for Silver etc. on down to the last HM
which is one point. I add up everyone's score cards and the one who comes out on top ...wins! Second highest score Silver ...etc.
YOUR poem goes in last place on YOUR list...it gets one point from you...that way you are only judging the others...PLEASE List the poems….I am a free member and do not know who writes what…you can add
the author’s name too…just be sure the name of the poem is there! THANKS!
So...pen your best...what you think others will like to read...

PLEASE NOTE: Since these contests have become quite popular...I am NOT ACCEPTING RESERVES!. These fill fast, and people want to judge when all entries are in....so be prepared! Please judge as soon as you can after you get my notice that the contest has closed...IF you have not judged, three days after contest closes…The contest will be judged without you…and you will not place. IF you develop a “habit” of not judging or judging late…I will consider banning you from the contests….It is only fair to those that take their time, and pen, and judge…
AND: You must read all of the entries to judge them...please at least let me see you stop to say...good job...or best wishes or whatever... Please do not bash other poets or their poems…we all have different
styles and levels of writing…constructive criticism is different than bashing!
I take the time to read, and comment on each poem...that's really why we are here! People might want to know why they score as they do!

I heard a rumour that as from Monday all prewrites will be banned from the site and people will haveto start writing poems again.

lol... come one now, can't hate on prewrites that much! Everything can't always be brilliant, and it is hard to get older stuff read much unless you can enter it sometimes ;p But yes, they do suck for most contests... I wanna make another contest but I don't know what for heh.... hmmm must contemplate.
