The shadow men contest I have going on is moving along nicely. Lots of great writes! So I thought I'd push on with another one that features pictures I have taken of female friends and female cast members from shows I've directed:

The Rules
1. Any style you wish to write in as long as it has a sense of the poetic. Prose is also okay as long as it uses vivid imagery. ADULT is okay as long as you label correctly (in the space for the title too, if you don't mind).
2. Structure can be any structure at all if it reinforces the style you're writing in.
3. The write can be based directly on the prompt if you like or it can be more about what the picture inspires in you. Sometimes writers ask, "What does the contest holder want?" All I want is for you to write what the prompt inspires you to write. Nothing more, nothing less.
4. Can be long but make it move. Keep the reader engaged.
5. You can paste the prompt right on the page with your write... or place the prompt # in your AN.
P.S. If the prompts are too big, just take the "zoom level" down on your computer.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 14
- Rewards: Gold: 800, Silver: 500, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: With both The Shadow Women and The Shadow Men, I tried to create contests that ALL styles of writing would fit into. The variety in style in both contests has been extraordinary! We did lose a couple of poems along the way. It may have been because the writers didn't think their style of writing would get a "fair shake." I hope that's not true.
Congrats to all who entered. I'll have a new contest coming up soon so spread the word!
