This contest is for members of the Poetic Bandits group, all non-group entries will be removed.
Welcome Bandits to the November Form contest,
for this contest I am requesting that you write a singular poem in the Diamante form.
This is a fun and easy form and I'd like to see as many Bandit as possible submit an entry.
Diamante:
A Diamante is a seven-lined contrast poem set up in a diamond shape.
The first line begins with a noun/subject,
and second line contains two adjectives that describe the beginning noun.
The third line contains three words ending in -ing relating to the noun/subject.
The forth line contains two words that describe the noun/subject
and two that describe the closing synonym/antonym.
If using an antonym for the ending, this is where the shift should occur.
In the fifth line are three more -ing words describing the ending antonym/synonym,
and the sixth are two more adjectives describing the ending antonym/synonym.
The last line ends with the first noun's antonym or synonym.
To make it a bit simpler, here is a diagram.
Line 1: Noun or subject
Line 2: Two Adjectives describing the first noun/subect
Line 3: Three -ing words describing the first noun/subect
Line 4: Four words: two about the first noun/subect,
two about the antonym/synonym
Line 5: Three -ing words about the antonym/synonym
Line 6: Two adjectives describing the antonym/synonym
Line 7: Antonym/synonym for the subject

- Final notes: This contest was harder to judge than I thought it was going to be! You Bandits entered a good selection of topics for this Diamante contest and I had to chew on them a while to bring this contest to a conclusion.
I am never disappointed by the poems submitted by my Poetic Bandit family, this group is populated by so many wonderful poets it is a pleasure to host contest.
Thank you all for your participation, if you did not win a trophy this time, don't give up, you may win next time.
The HM's are in random order.
Thanks again, Bandits Rock!
