Illegitimate Contest Child of Random Awesomeness

Hey!! It’s Note the Sarcasm and J.M. Spenser here. We decided to host a contest back in like August, and it’s just taken us this long to get it together.

What’ll happen is you’ll reserve a spot, tell us a number from 1-21, and we’ll give you four options. Everyone gets a picture, a title, a quote, and a word prompt. Use whichever you want or combine them. Just tell us which one you used in your AN. We'll post which numbers are open. The pictures aren't really working right. When you get your options, you'll need to copy and paste the link into the address box to get it to work. I don't know why it won't work. Sorry.

~Rules~
1. Please check your spelling and grammar. It bothers me to no end when things aren’t right.
2. Give credit where credit is due.
3. Please don’t enter your poem for this contest in another until we have judged it. It is really a pet peeve of mine and will basically drop a poem from any place if I see it, even if it’s an amazing poem.

We’ll judge around 12 November. I’m having surgery that day and will need something to amuse me that weekend.

Open numbers:
2
4
8
11
16
18
19
20

MfG,
Steph K.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 16
  • Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 400, Bronze: 200
  • Final notes:
Thanks to everyone who entered! This was great fun for J. M. Spenser and me. Sorry it took us a while to judge. A weekend spent on Vicodin isn't the best time for judging a contest. How we judged it was we both ranked the poems from 1-9, combined the scores, and the poems with the lowest numbers won. I would like to congratulate all of you. This was hard for me to judge, and I'm assuming the same goes for my lieber. Can't wait till we (individually or together) host another contest, and hopefully you will enter.

    MfG,
    Steph K.

    Reserve

Hi, i'm relatively new to this site and i'm not sure how to reserve :/. Can I enter? I'd choose number 18, but if that's gone I don't mind any number. Thanks.

I'm sorry.I just finally got to getting on the site. I would have loved it if you had entered before it closed, but yeah. If you still want the prompts, I'll give them to you, even though what you write will not be in contention for any awards or even actually in the contest. But I will comment and critique anyways (and possibly give you some points ). For future contests, how you reserve a spot is you hit the 'enter a new poem' button in the contest, title it with reserve (or something of the sorts) and put at least something in the dialogue box, and say what option you'd like if it be that type of contest. I am very sorry that I didn't get to the site sooner to check messages, but I was busy preparing for surgery. Check back with me and J. M. Spenser for contests in the future. We'd be glad to have you enter!!

      MfG,
      Steph K.
