QUICKIE!! Concrete Angel's title prompts

I've never done a quickie before so I thought I'd give it a shot.

There are 8 openings and 8 trophies so everyone will win something

Here's what you do...

Enter a reserve NOW

When all spots are full I will comment on each entry with a different title from my own poetry and a list of 5 words.

You will then have ONE hour to write a poem, including your word list, based on the title. You do not have to read my original poem... just base what you write on what you get from the title you are given

I will send notes to let you know when time begins and time ends... if you are not done by the end of time then I will be sad you didn't finish in time... but that's it

Rules (as always)

1. 35 line limit

2. NO chat speak!

3. No sticky caps

4. Free verse or rhyme ONLY... no prose for this contest.

5. No bashing of ANY kind

6. Proper spelling, punctuation and grammar please... especially apostrophes and correct capitalization.

7. The prompt does NOT have to be the title of your poem

8. Oops almost forgot... not all titles are dark writes... but ALL entries must be dark writes!!! Halloween is only two days away after all

    Sorry it took me a while to judge this, as always I have been debating with myself the entire time as to who should win the top three spots... each entry deserves one of the top three, but at least this time everyone can get a trophy so I won't feel like I'm being mean for not giving all the great poems SOMETHING
    There was no lack of outstanding dark imagery. You all took your prompts to amazing heights and used your word banks materfully. I really enjoyed holding a quickie contest and I just might be addicted to these now ^_^
