I am looking for dark writes, and there are certain things I prefer in poems, these are not guide lines, but things that should be considered
- Imagery and metaphors
- Extensive use of vocabulary (not at all necessary, but I feel it adds richness to a piece)
Any form of writing is fine (free verse, rhyme etc...)
And lastly, try your best to make your write as unique as possible
Now get writing!
Alright, when I previously posted this contest I said that self loathing poems would be fine if done uniquely. Now my contest is flooding with poems on that topic (which I am not too fond of) and is not exactly the kind of write I enjoy reading, so from now on there will be no self loathing/ cutting poems allowed in this contest.
If your poem is already entered and falls under this category than that is fine
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 19
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 200, Bronze: 150, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Thank you to all of the entrants and apologies for taking so long to judge (busy with school and other things). I would also like to apologize for not commenting on everyone's write. It got to a point where I couldn't think of what to say and only the same phrases came to mind. It seemed a shame to comment only for the sake of commenting, but that being said, there were some great writes in this contest and I would like to thank everyone who entered.
