Written by Dr. Bob Moorehead, I absolutely fell in love with this piece. Quite a few of you have probably read it before, and, I am going to take the wild assumption that there has been contests hosted about it before. However, that doesn't matter.

A YouTube video, created by dna959, which puts the words into visuals, and, in my opinion, was really affective:

I think this poem, or prose, which I believe was originally part of an essay, is great for inspiring other great pieces of work. So, that is what I want YOU to do.
*Write any type of penned art (poetry, prose, stories, etc)
*Poetry has no length restrictions, however please keep anything else under 1000 words
*You do not need to use paradox in your piece, just write as the video/words inspired you to
I have put a lot of points into this contest, and I have extremely high expectations. I really want to see some creative, powerful, and strongly written pieces. I appreciate any entries. Please be advised I will be commenting with my honest opinion.
Thank-you for reading, and good luck writing!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 12
- Rewards: Gold: 2000, Silver: 1000, Bronze: 500, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Thank-you all for your entries and efforts for this contest. Much appreciated.
First, second, third, and fourth were defiantly in a toss-up. I kept going back and forth in my mind who to put where. They were either really great pieces, or they nailed down to exactly what I was looking for.
As for the other 2 finalists, you also had strong, well-written pieces.
And the other 3, I thought you were very well-written too, and with just a little bit of work, you could've been up there...well done.
Thank-you, everyone.

No Place in the World
there is no place in this world for a poet
a poet has no home in the hills or on the beaches
in vibrating crowds
in cozy homes
or beneath icy stars
there is no place in this world for the quiet longing
for the divine hunger
and haunted silence
reaching beyond peace
for an imminent almighty god
the voice of this world crushes meaning from the soul
as the thresher robs beets of all sugar
as time removes love of all but memory
shelterless
naked
destroyed
the desperate poet
can then only persevere
emerging beyond every failure
into the bright light of a god never worshipped
and true as blood
