I think that if the majority of people thought the sky to be green, it will be green!! LOL

    I'll be back for this.

The names of colours are arbitrary anyway. If 5 billion people choose to call the colour of the sky "green" - then that will almost certainly become the name of that colour - and a new name will be evolved for the colour of the grass.

Words and their changes of meaning are mysterious and fascinating things. The Slavonic word for elephant for example is SLON, which is originally the same word as Turkish ASLAN - which, as C.S.Lewis fans will remember, means LION! So what kind of zoological mix-up turned a lion into an elephant?

  • You have some pretty cool contests. I have them all bookmarked. Before I enter though, I plan to check out some of your poetry, and hopefully learn a little more about you. If you are interested, I also have several contests on my page.
