A Hopeful Invitation

 

 

Hello again my friends!  Here is another prompt contest for you. 

Please read the following letter and pretend that you are the recipient.

You can either respond with another letter or with a poem.  Just please

keep the letter in mind and do not stray away from it.  I found this

letter in the Post Secrets book that I was reading today at Border's

Bookstore.  Of all of the entries, this one really stuck out and pulled

at my heart strings.

 

 

 

To a birthmother:

 

You and I have never met, though I have cried for you

many times.  You gave up your son so that he could

have everything, and for that I love you.  He has and

is everything you could have ever hoped for.  He'll look

for you someday, and I hope he finds you.  My greatest

wish is that you want to be found so that you can see

what a wonderful person your son has become, and all

because of you and your love for him.

 

I love you.
