If not now, then when

Well, this is my first contest on AP and I'm hoping I get some amazing poems
The reason why I'm holding this contest is for the fact that when I was seven my father took off on us, leaving us with an alcoholic mother with no job. I haven't seen him since, and although I know I'm better off, it still hurts all the time to know that I'll never have that fatherly figure.
And well, I know I'm not the only one out there to be abandoned by a parent, and so that brings us to the topic of this contest

I want to feel the pain (or if it was another emotion) when your parent abandoned you. I want to know what's going through your head everyday, whether your mad at that person, sad, happy, whatever it may be, I want to FEEL it, don't just type it.
Show me your story, because everyone's story is different, what you went through when that person left.

I like rhyme (Although I don't mind other types), Sad poems, Emotion
I will comment on every entry
You may enter PW if it applies to the topic, but if I feel that it doesn't I will DQ you.

Rules:
nO TyPInG LiKE tHiS
No bashing religion or sextual prefrences
No bashing others
No erotica/dirty pretty
Minumum lines:15
No maximum but please no novels
Don't center your poem
Keep your background simple so I can read it

GOOD LUCK!
