As I have way too many points and I am not inclined to host contests of late, I find myself needing to lighten up a bit. So, there you go.
I have one quote; that is enough. I do not like contests that offer choices as you cannot really compare apples and oranges. So, here is the prompt:
Truth fades, and so is legend born. İrous
You should really not use the actual line. You can, but you should not need to.
Please use proper grammar, unless a period piece.
No idiotic stuff like sticky caps, dirty pretty or other devices which defeat the purpose of poetry.
Spellcheck is a must.
You do not have to put anything stupid in the A/N as I will know if you read this.
I would appreciate your name at the end of the poem; that way if I have issues, I can check out some of your other work to see why I have issues.
I really do not care about the form, other than to say that I am not up on the sonnet form so I cannot really appreciate it. Hiaku, cinquain, rhyming, not rhyming, pretty much anything goes. Shorter really is better. I am not up to reading epics right now.
If I do not get any entries soon, I will close this. I need at least 10 to judge adequately.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 12
- Rewards: Gold: 400
- Final notes: Well, thank you for entering. I am disappointed in the number of entries. I really found nothing that fit the prompt as much as I would like. I did find one and picked it rather than eliminate the contest.
Gold goes to:
