I'M EXTENDING THIS FOR A FEW DAYS AS I'VE ADDED MORE POINTS AND WOULD LIKE A FEW MORE ENTRIES.
I have a very good friend here who is having many problems. Naturally, she's one of those people who deserves the best life has to offer, and naturally life keeps kicking her to the kerb. I would like to see some poems to cheer her up and maybe make her feel better. I realize that most people on here seem to be so wrapped up in themselves that they don't have time for those who are having a really hard time, but I'm hoping that at least a few of you will be big-hearted enough to take a little time out of your busy schedules to do something for someone who really deserves it. Prewrites only if they are humorous. Otherwise, I won't feel up to reading them myself, being very ill at the time.
I'd say that many of you must know Suseann, as she's always there to help if the need arises, and she has a heart of Gold. You can find her here:

How about it? Can you take some time to think about somebody else and maybe encourage her a bit?
I won't be worrying about punctuation or spelling here, but I will draw the line at profanity or anything negative. Hopefully, no crazies will try that, but I am a lot more cynical than I was in the past. Anyone who tries that will be reported to the Mods immediately.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 11
- Rewards: Gold: 700, Silver: 300, Bronze: 50
- Final notes: I had hoped to have more entries here, but sadly, came up short. Still, I want to thank everyone who entered. Suseann was impressed with your poems, and that's the main thing.
I meant to give some HM's, but used up my points increasing the trophy points of the top 3.
Anyway, thanks for entering. I asked a friend to help with the judging, as I've been rather ill for some time, and didn't feel up to it. She picked the winners. So I wish to thank her as well.
Good luck in future. Keep writing.
