Semi-Quickie #3 (give me thought)

I'm trying out a series of quickie contests based on short prompts. Here's my third.

Make it good. I'd prefer an abstract take. I don't want a novel. I like poetic prose and free-verse. You can combine the prompt with the title phrase if you want to.
