Can you cheer me up?

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HAS ENTERED SO FAR! I REALLY APPRECIATE THESE HIGHLY INTELLECTUAL AND POETIC ENTRIES.

IF I HAVE SAID THAT YOUR POEM IS GREAT BUT DOES NOT APPLY IN THE SENSE THAT IT DIDN'T CHEER ME UP, JUST KNOW THAT YOUR POEM IS STILL AWESOME, BUT I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SPECIFIC.

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU.

TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED WITHIN THE WEEK.

I'm caught up in the trivial and immature things in life and am feeling rather stupid. I need some intellectual food for thought - that could possibly cheer me up. Looking for some wise words, not psychotherapy.

Rules:

Remember the subject is to try and cheer me up, not make me more depressed. Please keep this in mind on a superficial level.

You probably won't know what will make me happy or sad, but don't include stuff about suicide unless you are convinced it will, in some abstract way, cheer me up.

If the font is too hard for me to read, than I won't read it. I will comment on everyone's poems except those I cannot read, so you will know by the end of this contest if you need to change the font for viewers like myself.

**Just a note: Not into most love poetry, but if you think your's is the exception, by all means, please enter this contest. Also, I am not a huge fan of Christian/religious poetry - but will not judge this contest based on religious outlook. If someone enters a Christian poem that has meaning I can relate to and is on topic to the idea of this contest, you might be considered for a trophy. Chances are, however, you won't be. Please keep these points in mind when entering poetry.

Just have to say thank you for all of those who have entered the contest so far! I'm feeling happier. =D

    Anon

It always costs money to show partiality toward friends, I'm thinking that's the reason for instant anonymous entry for non paying members' contests...though it isn't fair at all, and beside the point. Judging should always be impartial, and is a matter of conscience for the judge without exception.

I'm not sure why the point cost has been raised, it's not like you can use them to buy gasoline. I suppose it's one way to encourage dialogue on the site...that would make sense, as opposed to making cents.

Everybody hates inflation except the ones who profit from it's existence, otherwise the word wouldn't exist.

    Best wishes.

It is not exactly difficult to see the names in a contest, even if it is "anonymous" it relies on the judge not looking. Actually marking it non-anonymous has always been reserved to paying members in the time I've been here, but it never bothered me even when I wasa free member.

Then again, the last contest I made was 5 years ago, but I see what you mean - the names of the poets are not hidden, but it is up to me to be a fair judge.
