Prompt's up there. Yep. Just write me... any poem that fits that (yes, I guess the subject matter's pretty much restricted to... that little four-letter word starting with L, huh?
).
It's simple.
There're no rules. I just want your feelings and creativity to flow... (Metaphors would be a plus point)
P.S. There is nothing else to this contest really, except that I'm stuck in the middle of this thought, "Do I love you enough to let you go?" (How contradictory.
) and wish to hear others opine on this as well.

(Something I just wrote...)
-I love you enough to let you go-
We stood on the sidewalk
awaiting forever because
nobody ever told us
that was a lie, a sham
concocted to make fools
of us all, little humans.
Smiling, glassy-eyed,
pretty faces, empty hearts.
I stumbled over my
shoelace and you reached
over and gave me
your hand. My bad.
Oops, your heart says,
“Mine doesn’t feel a
thing; how about yours?”
I look down and say, “No.”
