A Contest for Cynics and Realists (Shed some truth for the world)

I want poetry and writing that sheds truth on such controversial subjects of life which can include subjects such as:

True Love (all that romantic stuff)
Religion
Perfection
Or whatever you feel the world needs to know

This contest is about your message. What the readers need to know.

I want fire behind your writing. If I don't feel that passion, then you will have no chance at victory

Think about a friend who is just started dating someone and wont stop ranting and raving about how they're so in love when its only been a week. And how you just want to throw in their face how stupid they're acting about it and how it's all gonna come crashing down

This is a contest for Cynics and realists, so I wanna see realism and cynicism in your work.

Stuff bashing love is a plus for me (so are politics and stuff)

Let's show the word the hard truth, and throw it in their faces.

P.S. Points will go up as I gain more.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on October 26
  • Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 50, Bronze: 12, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
I decided to end this contest a little early. I have found my winners, and as much as I would like to see what else I could get, I've only gotten few works that have wowed me. Thank you to all who have entered, and congrats to the ones who actually placed, for you are the ones who did something a little different to impress me.

Wanted to write something new...but my brain is just fried, so entered a pre-write. If I come up with anything before closing, I will replace it.

Thanks for the shiny cup ...

and congrats to the others who garnered one for themselves, and to the host for having a contest about something instead of the usual blather of nothing one sees here most of the time.
