LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS GROUP CONTEST

i will be checking...

basically write about your loved one, how much you miss them, the distance, etc.... but no cliche love poetry.

make me feel for you. i'm also in this situation [my darling fiancee is fighting to protect america apparently, but i'm sure he's doing it for the adrenaline rush...] so i know what its like.

give me raw emotions. imagery. language that will astound.

if youre in a long distance relationship, have been, and so on, just track down the group on my page [or i might be nice and, at some point, put the link in].
long distance doesnt have to be 15hr time differences. you could be in the next house but it be a long distance because you're not allowed to see each other. you might be happily married but never see each other because of work. it does not matter. just apply and you're in.
we are not a dating group, this is for those in a relationship, or can help those who are struggling in long distance relationships. its a very active group, so please join.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 6
  • Rewards: Gold: 400
  • Final notes:
    gold won for the language.
silver won because it was so universal [well, within our situation at least] and it made me cry.

so well done to all. really well done.

i will be writting something for this as it hits home. My man is from England and is currently serving in Afgan and away for months at a time. we met over a year ago and are now engaged... love him to pieces and worry about him all the time. He trys to reasure me he knows what he is doing over there as he has been doing it for over ten years.. but that is still not comforting at all. I understand... I understand.. and it sucks ass lol. Will be back soon, but tonight is our last night together before he goes back to that god forsaken place AFGAN.. taking him to the airport in the am. Not happy about that at all lol three and a half month count down starts tm lol.

    • i'm in the same situation. my fiancee is from america, i'm from england, but he's also serving over there. i know exactly how you feel.

Excuse me but Afghanistan is not the problem in the equation. The problem is too many countries are interfering on soil that belongs to my lovers people! Soldiers killed her family. They say they are there and then, the one timeshe's in the wrong place at the wrong time she losea everything and there are no solders to save you.

      • agreed. i'm with you on that one. what happened to miss gorecki, has happened to many. tbh, i'm neither pro nor anti this war. it was simply george bush having yet another ego trip.

i'm anti military. ive talked 3 friends out of joining the army. i still think [even though i'm marrying a soldier] that anyone who joins the army is an idiot signing an elongated suicide contract.

the whole thing of the "white mans burden" [giving countries christianity and civilisation and so on] is ridiculous. bush was on an ego trip, and perhaps millions have to suffer for it.
