    Wow ...

you are a wild-eyed optimist, opening this to prewrites. I can't imagine anybody having a poem that includes 8 words from one of those word banks.

Unfortunately, I"m not up to writing just now. Good luck with the contest in any case.

      "a wild-eyed optimist"...?!

Well, lets see how the cat jumps!

      As for yourself...think about it!
      I know you're a man who's writen a "quatorzain" or two!

Dead easy - I write a poem from one of the word-banks, I post it, then I enter it as a pre-write. Lateral thinking.

I was thinking of entering but I wouldn't have the time as I would be hunting through the dictionary trying to figure out what most of the words meant. I like the idea though and I guess it will take someone a little smarter than me to create a piece that could fill this contest.

      tut, tut!
      just think a bit...
It isn't a poem for "smart"
but for "stop and think a bit"

...I'll bet I've put "a bee in 'yer bonnet"!

Yes, you have indeed, and since you put it that way, I shall have to delve a little further.

I've put this contest in my favourites on IE. I'll have to think and see what I can come up with.
