A Punk's Prompts and Quotes

Hello everybody and welcome to my 8th contest.

Basically, I'll give you several quotes which influenced me in my writing
and I hope it will inspire you too. So without further ado, let's go to the quotes.

1) All persons mean something to some persons.
Some persons mean something to all persons.
I want to be some person. (my own)

2) "Here lies the bones of some poor homeless vagrant
He died as he lived, in the shit on the pavement." (Skyclad - Cardboard City)

3) I'm just thinking aloud
Isn't thinking allowed? (Skyclad - Thinking Allowed?)

4) I have been told to thank the Lord for all that He will send,
But if death should come to meet me - Must I greet him as a friend?
(Sabbat - Do Dark horses Dream of Nightmares?)

5) After all the highways, and the trains, and the appointments, and the years, you end up worth more dead than alive. (Death of a Salesman)

6) Think back and lie of England. (Skyclad - Think Back and Lie of England)
(You can use another country if you like).

7) D.J.s, V.J.s, pimps and trollops, never mind music - this is bollocks. (Skyclad - Penny Dreadful)

8) Once you enter you are bound to find salvation by the pound,
assured the more you pay the nearer God you are. (Sabbat - The Church Bizarre)

9) "Death be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for, thou art not so." (John Donne Holy Sonnet no.10)

10) Hanging is too good for a man who makes puns; he should be drawn and quoted. (Fred Allen)

11) This underdog not only barks - it bites! (Skyclad - Civil War Dance)

12) Man is condemned to be free. (Jean-Paul Sartre)

13) Your outward appearance is all that you're worth /
Men who will feed you to the lions for having different thoughts or skin.
(Skyclad - Gammadion Seed)

14) If life is sweet - then I'm diabetic / The future looks rosy - I just went colorblind. (Skyclad - Just What Nobody Wanted)

Use the quotes in any way you like them.

Some other things:

- More quotes will be added during this contest.
- A quote can be used by multiple poets.
- I'll comment on every piece.
- PW's are allowed, as long as they have something to do with the quotes.
If not, I won't DQ you, but you won't win anything.
- Up to 2 entries are allowed.
- Don't WrItE LiKe ThIs. It's annoying.
- I prefer rhyme but a free verse can blow me away as well.
- Please put the number of the quote in your Author's Notes
(Don't worry: you can remove after the contest if you want to).

Good luck!
