Here is what I want you to do: choose part or all of a text, e-mail, comment, message or letter you’ve received; go back to the day you received it and relive it; then write.
RULES (apparently they are necessary)
- use as many of the senses as you can
- please don’t be obvious; be creative
- apply poetic device – alliteration alone won’t do it people!
- FFS limit your adjectives
- freeverse; left-align; no rhyme; inoffensive background
- 20 lines or less and no prose please - that would defeat the purpose of line limits! I don't have all day. I also have a life!
NB: Please disclose your chosen text/e-mail/message in your author’s notes – it’s so I can better understand/appreciate and also because I am nosey
I know I have some observational favourites who will kick the crap out of this contest, so ENTER!! I’ll close this when I get something I like
