when you say henry tudor do you mean henry VII or henry VIII?
-
what about about world war 1 life in the trenches?
-
-
Anything, trench warfare to the development of the tank.
Surprise me (:

Just a couple of pedantic points.
1) There were TWO Tudor kings called "Henry". I imagine you were referring to the much-married Henry VIII (baricularly as this year is the 300th anniversary of his accession). But his father, who founded the Tudor dynasty was Henry VII - and he also did a number of interesting things - putting an end to the Wars of the Roses (he is the "Richmond" of Shakespeare's "Richard III"), founding the "Yeoman-Warders" ("Beefeaters") - and - refilling the royal treasury which was virtually empty on his accession, and in so doing acquiring the reputation of a miser = he paid the Cabot brothers for their voyage to what would be known as "North America" and the discovery of "New-Found-Land" the sum of ... just 25 pounds sterling...
2) WHICH occupation of Poland? There have been a huge number of them, going back at least to the Tatars in the 13th century (an event still commemorated EVERY day on Polish state radio with the sounding of the "Hejnal" broken trumpet call - right up to WWII and its aftermath). -
-
I know about Henry Tudor the VII and VIII, the point of my prompts is to see what I get from different people. This is the same with my Poland prompt. While personally I have only briefly studied the occupation of Poland by Nazi Germany, I'm leaving my prompts open to interpretation, similarly to how vague the World War prompts are in that they are not specific to one aspect of the war. This competition is about reading a variety of historical poetry, even if my prompts get picked apart for it.

I have one I would love to enter but because of graphic images and it being labeled as "adult" because of them It would not accept it.
-
-
Hm.
I'll enable adult content then, I only use it to avoid erotica, but I'm pretty sure no one will enter any here (:
-
-
oh no!
i just found this and it's too late to write something.
oh well,
hopefully you will have a contest like this in the near future?
