Write me a rhyming poem with words you wouldn't usually see linked together . The poem needs to have a rhythm and flow to it, if it doesn't it won't win. Your poem doesn't need to make any sense at all.
Silly Example :
Mutilated membranes, doughnut solitaire
corrugated spiders, Princes of Bel-Air.
Effervescent yardsticks, breathing maggot rhyme
legs of cindered cupcakes, meltingly sublime.
Prewrites are fine but they must meet the criteria.
Have fun.
( The pic has nothing to do with the contest, it just makes me smile )
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 26
- Rewards: Gold: 4000, Silver: 2000, Bronze: 1000, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Many, many thanks everybody. The standard of entries was stunning, simply stunning. I haven't had chance to comment on all the entries as the contest closed far more quickly than I expected. But I will do.
The winning poem was something rather special.
Many thanks again to everybdy for entering.
