My precious and most beautiful Grandaughter was born today. Her name is Gracie, and she weighs 7lbs 2ozs, and is 47.5cms long, so a tiny bundle but all the same precious one. I am absolutely over the moon today, as she's just so precious. Alisha her Mother had a mad dash to the hospital and ended up giving birth to her on the hospital bathroom floor naturally, but all the same with all going okay with both. I've been at the hospital most of the day admiring her beauty and her name I must say suits her well as she is the absolute picture of Grace.
Please write something to welcome Gracie into the world, and please don't shorten her name to grace in your writes as Alisha and my Son Chris both named her Gracie to avoid the shortened version. Angus who is 3 and Alisha's little boy is now a big brother, so if you want you can mention him or Alisha or Chris in your write, its' entirely up to you.
Alisha is a member here on the site, so at some time she will probably be reading these also.

Josie, congratulations!! Before I write, I need to know what Gracie will be calling you. My grand daughter had an experience at her arrivel as well. She too was at the hospital, but the Dr. decided he had time to step away. I delivered the baby. Also, if Angus didn't get a poem upon his arrival, we should do one when his birthday comes.

I have to say...
That this contest and reading these entries has tugged at my heart strings. We have a new baby arriving, although she is going to need a home (Family situation, two of her siblings have already been terminated from this mother) and I want so badly to take her and hold her tight and protect her from all that goes wrong in the world. However, in all reality love isn't enough and I am terrified something will happen and I will do more harm than good.
It is great to see baby brought into this world to such a loving family!
