    Cheers.

To most of us people here on Earth that heard of it at all it was just another day with some disaster in some country or other. Hutus in Africa, Israelis slaughtering Palestinians. Chinese wiping out villages of Tibetans. Tsunamis. Blah, blah, blah. I feel sorry for the folks. Otherwise, disconnected. It is sad to see that the USA has used the event as an excuse to slaughter thousands of innocent people who had nothing to do with it, but people the world over have been saying that since Europeans first invaded North America; if not since The Crusades.

I was going to work that morning and my roomie was watching it on TV. I must have given it two minutes attention while I was putting my shoes on. It gave alt.binaries.pictures.grotesque a bit of fodder for a while, but alas, that true picture of the American mind is no more.

        Yes,

It was a horrible thing. It is more horrible that the rich nations learned nothing from it and still push poorer nations into the same kind of corners; making sure this happens again and again. We should remember through positive action.

sounds like you are always looking for someone else to blame for problems... trying looking at home.

Well I think you are totally wrong... America didn't use that as an excuse to slaughter thousands of innocent people... no thousands of innocent people were slaughters because of some mad man and his people. men, women, and children who were going about their daily lives with no care other than to go to work and support their families were brought to a horrible end! Some jumped from several stories in the air... it was either that or burn to death. Others knowing that they had only minutes left to live called to say goodbye to their families... knowing that they wouldn't be there for them anymore.

I was coming home from work when I heard of the attacked. I was frightened. Scared that those innocents on the planes were forced to give up their lives like they did.

I was scared because my husband at the time was a fire fighter and had we lived in New York at the time... he too could have been one of those fire fighters who died trying to save so many lives.

I was scared because this was an attack on my nation. My friends. My world. And I didn't know how to stop it.

This was military fighting military. this was terrorism. They tried to destroy our world... by fear.

The reason you gave this horror so little attention because you felt it did not affect you or your world. No one you cared about died in this... or was affected in any way by this.

So... being who you are. You just didn't care.

A lot of people must feel that way.

And you know, I feel sorry that they do. Because when I hear about victims anywhere in the world. I would like to reach out and help. I usually can't do anything being thousand of miles away. But I can write a letter. Discuss it amongst friends. Ask questions. Send money if I can.

But this I don't care attitude... well I try not to feel that.

Sorry I ramble. But your attitude really upset me. Because I am an American. And Damn proud to be one. And I don't think we Americans did anything to deserve to be murderd. Terrorized. Or threatened like we were now... or during that time period.

All we have ever done... is do the best we can. And other countries think that we should do more than we are... or look at it.. their way. How about you guys just once... look at things our way too.

      Again I'll shut up now.

        I do believe

that I said I feel sorry for the folks, not that I didn't care.

The whole point was that it was an attack on the world trade center and the great worldwide banking machine, not on the USA. Most of the people involved were from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq or Afghanistan.

If you think it was an attack on the USA you missed the point entirely.

The best the Coalition of Idiots can do is stay home. USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, the Germans; everybody. Stay home and stop The Crusades.

we tried staying home... remember WW 2... hitler nearly conquered that entire part of the world...before WE Americans became involved. If we had stayed home longer... you and the rest of the world would still be saying Heil Hitler.
