for a long time (four years?), i have desperately wanted a pen pal. i want to talk to someone i've never met before, someone interesting, someone far away. i want to be able to spill my story to him/her and hear his/her story in return, without holding back, with total trust. i want to say stupid things, clever things, depressing things, happy things, everything, all my flaws exposed. and i want a pen pal who is okay with that, and maybe feels the same way.
it's a very romantic notion. but that's why i'm holding this contest. i figured a pen pal poet is as romantic as it gets. :]

name: sora. my korean name, not the one i use in real life.
location: north carolina, u.s.
age: 16
interests/hobbies: music (i play piano and oboe, but i listen to about everything), evolutionary biology, meaningful movies, animal science, anime/manga, atheism, liberalism, cooking and hair magazines, mongolia, traveling, photography, breakdancing/extreme sports (a fan, not a partaker), martial arts (a fan AND a partaker), random trivia, videogames, and occasionally geek culture (which i really can't help).
things you should know about me: i am very nosy, unrealistic, absurd, and self-depressing. i will talk about my boyfriend and roommate and parents especially much, the last one because we are constantly fighting like, well, a teenager and her parents. i will talk about trivial things, and important things only after a shakespearean inner struggle. i try to be open-minded about everything but religion (hypocrisy, i know). i write very long letters, but take forever to send them. and i'm probably not as interesting as you are.
