Hello Poets,
My name is Nathan, known as "let me sign" or "xcoldsummer" on All-Poetry, and I am here to announce the start of a new rounds contest: I am on the search to find, America's Next Top Poet. The question is: do you have what it takes?
If so, then post your best pre-write and in your A/N, space your username out like this: u s e r n a m e . Sounds simple, right?
I will judge each audition seriously, without a rubric this time. Yes, rubrics do help out with throwing away bias, but I will not treat one contestant differently than the other. At the end of my comment, I will tell you "yes" or "no". If you receive a "yes", congratulations, you have made it to the semi-finals! If you receive a "no", then I'm sorry, but we are not interested at this time. Thank you for auditioning though! And remember, you can always audition for season two!
If you made it to the semi-finals, there will be one final audition, before moving on to becoming a contestant. I'm not going to speak much about that, because I don't want to give anything away.
When posting your pre-write, please don't enter erotica, poetry lacking metaphors, or poetry lacking grammar. I will be nice when commenting, but I will give you a healthy critiquing. Also, if one contestant displays a sour attitude towards my comments, without a solid reason, I will not hesistate to take him/her out of the contest.
So let's go over what I just said.
1. Enter your best pre-write for your audition!
2. Make sure to space your username out in your A/N.
3. No sour attitudes.
4. "Yes" means you're moving on to the semi-finals.
5. "No" means we're not interested at this time. Sorry, but you can always audition for next season!
Good luck and I will see you all very soon!
-Nathan.
*EDIT: This contest is not meant to discriminate any user by no means. America's Next Top Poet is just a TITLE, not to be taken like I am biased, okay? Anyone may enter.

Firstly, why do you need to know our usernames if we're being treated fairly?
secondly... If i'm not American, does that mean I can't enter?? -
-
1. So I can have a complete list of each member who is in the competition; later in the competition, I would like to have a challenge where each competitior has their own specific prompt.
2. Sure; many people who are not American or not from America are famous here. It's just a title.
Hopefully I resolved the confusion. -

It does indeed, thank you very much. I shall bookmark and return.
