Recently I have seen some of the video poems here on Allpoetry and I think it is wonderful to hear the poet reading their work.
In light of this, for this contest:
Enter a poem that is accompanied by a video reading of your poem.
There are instructions for uploading a video at the bottom of the Add a poem page.
I will be reading the poem through first and the later going back to view the video.
Please make sure that your video is appropriate for your poety and YES, you DO have to read your poetry ON the video.
You do not have to be "in' the video if you prefer not to show yourself and use images instead BUT...
YOUR POEM ABSOLUTELY MUST BE READ ON THE VIDEO ITSELF.
Any subject is fine, except self harm issues. I hate them, sorry. I enjoy all types of poetry but will be honest and say I do lean more towards metaphoric/abstract pieces and/or spiritual writes (not religious, spiritual) but I am VERY open minded and enjoy a wide variety of subjects so I am fully open to all forms of poetry.
You may enter up to 10 times.
The page MUST inclue your poem AND Your video on the same page.
I will comment on each entry before judging but maybe not before then, so do not think I have forgotten you. The comment will be in two segments, the first about the poem itself, the 2nd part about what I thought of the video.
Depending on the number of entries the prizes may be increased. We'll see how it goes

Hmm. Well in my mind I do believe that lyrics are poetic art form. So yes, lyrics with a video would be fine as long as they are your original lyrics.
