it's been ages since i've done a rounds-contest; so here's hoping for a good turnout. i plan to have 5 rounds or thereabouts, so be sure you can commit the time and effort.

your task:

this round, you will submit your best prewrite. i've got 30 spots, and only 20 will move to round i.

rules:

i. freeverse/prose only.
ii. no politics/religion/smut/whiny emo-shit.
iii. spell-check, please.
iv. username spaced out in the ans, like so: i m m o r t a l o b s c u r i t y.
v. no happy poetry. otherwise, i may tear your eyeballs out through your throat.
