24 - 72 Hour Quickie - Birthday Celebration number one.

I love pictures. All kinds. Happy, Dark, Mystical, and even Abstract.   

 

I would like for you to be inspired by your favorite picture, and write about it. To give you some ideas the picture can be a place, your favorite actor, a funny animal, or even something 3d. Those are only ideas. 

 

There is a catch. I do not want you to put the picture on your poem. I want you to ONLY link me the picture. I want to read the poem first, before seeing the picture. Do not post any pictures with your poem. If you do - you won't win.

 

I will judge this quickie contest when I get at least 8 enteries so I am allowing around 24/72 hours. By Wed night if I don't have enough enteries I will delete this, and do quickie number two.

 

First ten only. No prewrites.

 

Word Limit - 20 Words - 20 lines. You must have at least 20 words, but don't go over 20 lines.

 

Warning : I might not comment but only view poems this time. It depends on how busy I am. I don't know what things I'll be doing for my birthday (the 14th). If this offends you please don't enter. I might only have time to come on and judge this. If I don't comment, and have some time later on this week, I'll go back and comment on the enteries that are still in the contest after it's judged. 

 

Form - Any kind is welcomed. Please no erotica, or cutting poems. I love metaphor, your own lyrics, abstract, and freestyle.  Label each poem accordingly. Profanity is fine but please limit it. Please do not copy any songs of the net if you do lyrics, nor copy any poems. Be unique. If you do copy anything you'll be reported to the mods. 

 

Prizes - The points may or may not increase depending on how many enteries I get. The winner is asked to pay it forward with a contest of their choice.

 

Reserve but please be finished by Wed night. If I see all the slots are taking, and finished I might judge it early.

 

Plain backgrounds only please. Some light color design is ok, if I can read the font. I don't like very dark background designs. Left align is awesome, but not required.

    I was very sad that I didn't get at least 8 people to enter. However, I decided not to delete the contest because I enjoyed the few that did enter. I am sorry to the one that wasn't finished in time.
    Congrats to the winners. I don't know who the winners are but the gold kinda hit me personally, the silver rocked with the format, the bronze was a deep thinker, and the hm I loved the wording.
